The Initial Consultation
The essence of successful therapy is to establish a safe and trusting relationship with the therapist. Our first meeting will give you the opportunity to begin to share your thoughts and feelings in complete confidence, so that together we can identify areas in your life that you would like to change and discuss goals that you feel you would like to work towards achieving. Above all, the initial consultation will give you the opportunity to make absolutely sure that you feel comfortable and ready to take the first step towards a more positive, solution focused and rewarding way ahead.
The initial consultaton is free, and you are under no obligation to take things further if you prefer not to.
The Therapeutic Process
Counselling in Westcliff, Southend, Leigh and surrounding areas offers a combined approach selecting the most effective aspects from my Integrated counselling training. As an accredited Member of the Counselling Society, I adhere to their professional code of Ethics at all times.
During the therapeutic process, there may be occasions when the combination of other techniques such as Hypnotherapy or EFT may prove beneficial, and by using different types of therapy, difficult issues can be resolved more rapidly. Alternatively, the opportunity to have the space to talk freely and openly in a safe, respectful environment can often initiate self discovery and understanding and lead to progress which will help you move forward. This does not mean that you have to be in long term counselling, positive change can happen in just a few sessions.
